Modern Office Space

Why Work with a Chartered Coaching Psychologist?

BPS-Chartered Coaching Psychologists are trained to work at the intersection of performance, wellbeing and psychological health. Coaching is grounded in established psychological theory and research, rather than generic models or motivational techniques, and is tailored to the individual’s role, context and goals.

We offer coaching in three different formats:

Individual Coaching for Leaders

Purpose:

To provide the individual leader with the space to really reflect and explore their thinking with complete honesty and privacy - helping you understand yourself and the impact you have.

Our coaching can span various topics:

  • Performance coaching: Enhancing effectiveness, focus and impact at work

  • Wellbeing coaching: Supporting resilience, balance and sustainable working

  • Leadership coaching: Developing compassionate, confident and psychologically informed leadership

  • Neurodiversity-affirming coaching: Supporting neurodivergent individuals to work in ways that play to strengths while navigating workplace demands

  • Personal coaching: Supporting transitions, confidence, boundaries and personal development

Why Individual Coaching?

A chance to optimise your leadership and:

  • Clarify priorities, values and direction

  • Strengthen self-awareness and emotional regulation

  • Develop effective strategies for managing pressure, uncertainty and competing demands

  • Improve communication, decision-making and confidence

  • Make meaningful, sustainable changes rather than short-term fixes

Group Coaching for Leaders with Shared Challenges

Purpose:

To provide a psychologically safe, facilitated space for leaders to think together, learn from shared experience, and strengthen leadership practice in complex systems.

Group coaching brings leaders together who may share similar roles, pressures or responsibilities. Facilitated by a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, sessions combine reflection, psychological insight and peer learning, while maintaining clear boundaries around confidentiality and respect.

Key benefits include:

  • Reduced isolation and increased sense of shared understanding

  • Exposure to multiple perspectives and ways of thinking

  • Enhanced reflective capacity and emotional regulation under pressure

  • Practical learning that is immediately transferable to leadership roles

  • Development of psychologically informed leadership skills

Why Group Coaching?

Group coaching is particularly effective in healthcare contexts, where leaders often face similar systemic challenges but have limited opportunity for structured reflection with peers.

Team Coaching for Leadership Teams

Purpose:

To support leadership teams to function more effectively together by strengthening relationships, clarifying shared purpose and improving how the team thinks, decides and works under pressure.

Team coaching focuses on the team as a system, rather than on individual development alone. Our approach draws on a range of psychologically founded, evidence-based models, including the Prosocial approach and Systemic Team Coaching, to help teams align around shared values, roles and ways of working.

Our team coaching supports leadership teams to:

  • Clarify purpose, priorities and shared goals

  • Strengthen trust, psychological safety and accountability

  • Improve communication, decision-making and handling of difference or tension

  • Understand and shift unhelpful team patterns and dynamics

  • Work more collaboratively and sustainably in high-demand environments

Sessions are tailored to the team’s context and may include reflective dialogue, structured exercises and facilitated conversations that enable teams to address challenges constructively rather than avoiding or escalating them.

Why Team Coaching?

For leadership teams in healthcare, team coaching supports more coherent, compassionate and effective leadership, benefiting staff wellbeing, service delivery and organisational culture.
